'The standards have fallen, my value has dropped'. This take me back to the 90s in a heartbeat...I guess I liked it at the time because it was different from the other stuff filling the charts :)

Iron Maiden - Holy Smoke

A funny video indeed with a message....holy smoke indeed. This is probably one of my favourite Maiden songs that was more often than not selected for the compilation cd's I used to do for the car :)

Rammstein - Engel

Rammstein were my gateway in to metal music. I bought the album 'sehnsucht' while I was down in Bath with my dad (he was on a course for environmental health and we stayed in the campus...and I got my first taste of a student union in the summer months lol)...and this was the 2nd track on the album. Rammstein are one band I would love to see before I die...they are meant to (and do, if you watch any of their live dvds) put on an awesome live show. If I had a top 20 bands I've listened to most in my life Rammstein would definitely be in there :)

Crowbar - Slave No More

My favourite song of last night even though it was played with no fan fair at The Waterline. A highly enjoyable drunken night out with the summer scheme peeps with us even singing a bass hunter song in the Bar Pazz LOL.

Another classic dance tune from times gone by. My favourite bit of the video is towards the end...gotta love a video with a dance floor of skeletons :)

Belle And Sebastian - I'm A Cuckoo

I have Radio Scotland to thank for hearing this song. I used to walk to university and listen to Radio Scotland on my old school nokia and this came on and its instantly likeable :)

Not much to say about this one apart from its pretty good. I like the fact they sound just as good live as they do on cds.

This is the closing song/scene in the film Dr Strangelove. A truely fantastic film by Kubrick and Sellers....well worth a watch if you haven't had the chance to see it.
